"Hi Santa Claus, I'm 17 years old. Of course, I don't believe that you exist at all, but maybe I'm wrong. Help me grow up, and I'll believe that you really exist...". With these lines began a letter that I was shown by an acquaintance, the owner of a toy store. This New Year they traditionally set up a letter box for…
Is 17 months a long time? By the standards of an adult's daily hustle and bustle, it's a blink of an eye. Every day we rush about our business, complaining that there are so few hours in the day. But when you are a child in an oncology ward, minutes turn into hours, days into weeks, and months drag on and on, like years.
For Sonyechka Viynik, time stood still as if by some magic wand of an evil wizard, when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. A little girl with an incredibly infectious laugh, lots of creative ideas, and a beautiful smile instantly became a prisoner of cancer...
Sonyechka's treatment was long, intense, and painful. The girl spent 17 months in the department of oncohematology for children, where she fought for her life with cancer. How many tears Sonya cried, how much pain she endured! But she didn't think to give up, she believed in the best!
The discharge was the most awaited event for Sonya. And the day has come! I'm happy to be going home! - Sonyechka shares and smiles happily. There is still some supportive therapy ahead, regular control of tests and other nuances of home treatment, but the main thing is that she is home, near her mother, little brother and older sister.
Of course, the team of hospital volunteers Veselyandiya could not miss this important event! We together with the character of the cartoon "New Prostokvashino" - the mysterious Tam-Tama congratulated the girl! With kind congratulations, bright balloons, gifts and a hero's certificate, we guided Sonya into a world of happy childhood!
Our brave Sonya, we rejoice with you and congratulate you on this wonderful day of your discharge. May this bright event in your life begin a series of good and happy events! May your little eyes never know tears again, and may your face always burn with a joyful smile! Be happy, our girl! We love you!
