Uncertainty, helplessness, excruciating waiting, and anxiety are all experienced by children with cancer every day. Some are waiting for test results on which further treatment depends, some can no longer endure the months of pain and give up. And someone does not know what other side effects the treatment will have on his body. At first glance, the picture is bleak and hopeless, and it is at times like these that one instinctively wants to cry and beg God for relief.
And the Lord, as a loving father, sends comfort to adults who are not weather children through responsive people who are ready to help on the most different and seemingly insoluble issues, as if to say, "Do not be afraid, I am always with you!" It is to such people today that we wish to express our sincere gratitude.
