Because of the acetone we can't continue the chemotherapy... The acetone isn't going away, we haven't been able to finish the first protocol for ten days now - Radomira Basha's mother writes. This is the reaction we had with the third high dose chemotherapy. The acetone began to increase on the third day after we received the IV.…
Where have you been? Did you bring toothpaste? I have nothing to brush my teeth with! What's that on your hand? A rubber band? Can I have it?
Such questions are usually asked by inquisitive, quick-witted and bright children. Such Rostik from birth was never considered. Severely disabled, severe mental retardation, children with disabilities - all of these words accompanied the unfortunate boy until he was four years old. Rostik spent three years in the group of disabled in the Republican Specialized Children's Home in Donetsk. According to all the predictions, Rostik was waiting for a home for the disabled in Shakhtarsk. I was dreadfully waiting for this transfer - Rostik would die there, and his chances of finding a family would come to naught. The news that the "severe mental retardation" was changed to "moderate" And instead of a home for the disabled Rostik transferred to a boarding school in Dokuchaevskoy, I cannot but call it a miracle.
Last week almost the whole team of our foundation visited Dokuchaevsk. All the staff of the boarding school, as well as the staff of the hospital, are in love with this chatterbox. Together with sweets we brought medicines which Rostik needs on a regular basis. Thanks for the help of our friend Yves Vanroy.
I promised to come to Rostik more often, as a confirmation this sly fellow snatched a rubber band from me.
In response I received a poem about the Christmas tree, an order for a car and a cell phone. I will have to do it.
Does anyone still doubt that disability is not a sentence?
If you want to help disabled orphans, our team will be immensely grateful, you can always do it at https://vremya-dobryh.ru/kak-pomoch.
