Children are dying in oncology departments. I learned this terrible fact six months after I started volunteering. It was a girl named Olya with Down syndrome. She died of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. I still remember the shock I felt. How could it be, after all the treatment had yielded results and suddenly everything was so ... My second loss…
Our little heroes, after a long and painful basic treatment, want real fun and a holiday of childhood.
On December 26, 2017, at the Antoshka and Cat play center in Donetsk, we prepared and held a fun, exciting, and fabulous holiday for children who continue treatment at home and are in the final stages of full recovery. Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden arrived from the North Pole to wish the kids Happy New Year.
Children were dancing, having fun and playing a lot of interesting games, dancing and smiling. Little braves not only had fun, but also learned a lot of new and interesting: at the matinee came a real chemical magician, who immersed children in a mysterious atmosphere of chemical tricks. The kids had another surprise waiting for them: a soap bubble show, which they loved so much! The sound of children's laughter was heard during the matinee!
And our little heroes again plunged into a little fairy tale of their childhood, and it was so nice to see smiles on their faces. Get well our brightest rays, and we will do everything possible that on your face bright smiles would always shine!
