Veselyandiya is a fun, cool and amazing team of children with cancer and hospital volunteers of our foundation.
Missed the smiles of our children, as we miss them? Let these rays of light from the screens of your smart phones and computers warm your hearts on cold winter days! We continue to share with you the news of our classes from the Hospital Volunteer Merryweather Team. Our volunteers continue to brighten up the gray hospital world for our children, the young patients of the GUS Oncology Department. Gusak Oncology Department and Children's Surgery Department of Russian Children's Clinical Hospital.
And while the kids are looking at winter through the hospital windows, the volunteers organize virtual mini-walks through the streets of Donetsk, share interesting facts about snow (and not only) and tell them about the "behind the scenes" life of volunteers. And all this in an online format.
And also, the guys are actively engaged in creative work: creating greeting cards for their loved ones on the eve of the holidays. And the girls also do needlework: they knit beaded key chains and embroider pictures, and donate the pieces they create to our store and workshop "BlagoTvorem" to help other children from the hospital and fight serious and terrible diseases.
All in all, the adventure continues! Both children and volunteers discover new and creative sides to themselves, learn about each other's lives and help each other without saying a word to themselves or others: volunteers help children to rejoice, forgetting for a moment about the pain, and children help volunteers to appreciate life and find joy in the little things in life.
From time to time our cheerful children move to the land of Online, where they communicate, engage, create and do things in the cities: VK and Zoom.
Every month kids share with us their exciting adventures and amazing discoveries in this world full of wonders.
Today we got this message from them: "We had an enlightening week. The cheerful people from the oncology departments have become mentors for the hospital volunteers and are sharing with us a list of the top films, books, music and even apps that are on the lips of the young and energetic ones, together we will have many different and interesting quests, activities and much more. As the saying goes: "A century of life - a century of enlightenment! And when there are such creative and enthusiastic mentors, the process becomes even brighter and more interesting.
