Everyone has that memory you don't want to go back to, like when you were a child in the hospital. It takes you out of your normal carefree days... It's especially hard when it's snowing outside the window and everyone's out walking, frolicking, and you've got shots, pills, and checkups. And now imagine that such treatment takes years... This is the reality of our children with cancer. Six months to a year, with brief breaks for trips home, a continuous stream of IVs, nasty but necessary pills and painful punctures. A lot of "can'ts" and very few "can'ts", which is especially hard for children. But here comes the long-awaited moment of discharge followed by treatment at home. But the little one will remember punctures, taps, hormones and chemotherapy for a long time. And there is so much bitterness in that... Childhood should be the happiest time, when the mountains are knee-high, and magic and miracles are everywhere!
What can we do, adults, so that the child, who has gone through many trials, could once again feel the happy moments of childhood?
Of course, give a child a holiday and make his dreams come true!
On the eve of the New Year, without betraying our good annual tradition, our foundation went in search of DEDEKO MOROZ, SNEGROCHKA AND WOLFMAN in the mysterious land of Online, so that the New Year dreams and wishes of children with cancer could come true. For each child there was found the Light person, ready to fulfill their New Year's desire. And finally, it was time to share the joy, that is, to present gifts to the bravest children in the world. With the participation of many kind and sincere people with hearts full of love, a New Year's Eve party was organized for children with cancer who continue treatment at home. Santa Claus and Snegurochka came to congratulate the kids with greetings, contests, New Year dances, and competitions. And, of course, in the end each kid got a long-awaited present-dream, but not just for fun: Santa Claus gave the presents for the poem, which the kids told him sitting on the lap of the Wizard of the Year. Looking into the smiling eyes of the children and watching their restless and eager movements, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in this miracle of the Magic Man!
Thanks to our joint efforts, the lives of children with cancer is turning into a Real Childhood, where there is room for Dreams, Laughter, Naughty, Fairy Tale, Bright Colors and New Discovery! And believe me, this is the best post-hospital Rehabilitation for kids!
