A medical examination at school was a lifesaver for Margarita, during which the doctors suspected a thyroid tumor in the girl.
An ultrasound scan showed that there was a tumor. And it looks like a malignant one. Margarita was biopsied at the Donetsk cancer center.

The histological study at the Institute of Endocrinology in Moscow confirmed that the girl had thyroid carcinoma (a rare and aggressive type of cancer). Fortunately there were no metastases.
The conclusion of oncologists was that she needed an urgent operation followed by scintigraphy and iodine treatment.
This is why Margarita's parents are asking for help with their daughter's treatment.
